Combinations to 10 Bingo + Bonus

Instructional Objective:
Students play Combinations to Ten Bingo to reinforce their knowledge of ten

Materials to Make on Your Own (see attached pdf to download)
• Combinations to 10 Bingo Card
• Ten-bead arithmetic rack
• One ten-sided die, a spinner, or cards with 0-10.
• Different colors of counters for each player, eight counters each.

Instructions:

  1. Two or more players.
  2. Players select the colors of the counters.
  3. Player 1 rolls the die.
  4. Player 1 pushes over the amount rolled on both rows of the arithmetic rack. For example, if an 8 is rolled, the player pushes over 6 beads on the top row and 2 beads on the bottom row.
  5. Player 1 places a counter on the corresponding number sentence.
  6. The sequence repeats for player 2, player 1, etc.
  7. The first player to get four counters in a row wins.

BONUS BINGO!

ARITHMETIC TRACK BINGO

Instructional Objective:
Students play Arithmetic Rack Bingo for fluency in partitioning and combining numbers to 10.

Materials to Make on Your Own (see attached pdf to download)
• Combinations to 10 Bingo Card
• Ten-bead arithmetic rack
• One ten-sided die, a spinner, or cards with 0-10.
• Different colors of counters for each player, eight counters each.

Instructions:

  • Two or more players.
  • Players select the colors of the counters.
  • Player 1 rolls the die.
  • Player 1 determines the missing number to make 10. For example, if they roll a 6 they would say, “I need a 4 to make 10.”
  • Player 1 places a counter on the corresponding number sentence. In the example above, they would place a counter on 6.
  • The sequence repeats for player 2, player 1, etc.
  • The first player to get three counters in a row wins.
